Scrimark

Frequently asked questions

What is Scrimark?

Scrimark is a place to practise written exam answers. You pick your paper, write an answer to a practice question, and get it marked point by point, with feedback on what earned marks and what was missing. You can then ask the AI tutor why, and try again.

It is a free beta: features, questions and limits may change while we test it.

Scrimark is a service provided by Athelvoid Solutions (SSM registration no. 202603112324), Malaysia.

Is it affiliated with ACCA?

No. Scrimark is an independent practice tool. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, ACCA, CIMA, CPA Australia or any other examining body or tuition provider.

How does marking work?

  • Each question has a marking scheme: the points an examiner would give credit for, and how many marks each is worth.
  • An AI model reads your answer against that scheme and decides, point by point, whether you earned it, quoting the part of your answer it relied on.
  • Your result shows each point, the marks awarded for it, and feedback on what was missing.

AI marking is guidance for your practice, not an official result or a prediction of your exam mark. It can be wrong; if you think it is, you can dispute it (below).

What do "AI-reviewed" and "Tutor-reviewed" mean?

Questions in the bank are checked before they are published. The label on a question says who approved it:

  • Tutor-written: written by a tutor, then checked by our AI review panel and test-marked.
  • Tutor-reviewed: drafted with AI, then approved by a qualified tutor.
  • AI-reviewed: drafted with AI and approved by an independent AI review panel and test-marking, without a tutor.

The label is about how the question and its marking scheme were checked. Your answer is marked by AI in every case.

What if I think a mark is wrong?

Use “I think this mark is wrong” on your result and tell us which point and why. A second AI model reviews the dispute against the marking scheme and either keeps the mark, with its reason, or changes it. A dispute that would raise your mark may be sent to a tutor to decide instead. There is a monthly limit on disputes per account.

The full details, including who processes your data and the exceptions, are in the privacy notice and the terms of use.
